New Zealand Landscape Photos

New Zealand Lanscape

I did my solo photohunt trip in April 2015 where I travelled 2500km+ in the South Island of New Zealand. You can read and view the photos and timelapse here.

So after experiencing probably the best 13 days of my life as a photographer, I was eager to revisit this magnificent country. Right after I’d got back from the trip, I planned for an October 2015 trip but it had to be postponed to April 2016. And this time, I was not alone. Kamrul, Rafique and Kumar joined the trip for 11 days.

Here are some of the selected photos captured during my trip.

New Zealand - Where are we going today?

We wandered off the main road to find this scene near the town of Fairlie.

Church of the Good Shepherd at night in Black & White

Our first stop of the night, Lake Tekapo and the famous Church of the Good Shepherd. Too bad it was a cloudy night.

Gloomy Mount Cook in Black & White

Hooker Valley - can we grow old together?

Spent the morning at Glenorchy witnessing a majestic sunrise.

Gloomy Milford Sound

The weather was not our side when we were at Milford Sound.

Another sunrise view at Moeraki Boulders.

All in all, the trip was a successful one. There were few instance or moments that we didn’t get or missed completely due to the weather. I didn’t tramp Hooker Valley Track til the end because I had a fever for the first leg of the trip which was a downer and the plan to upload daily vlogs were scrapped.

Few stats for you guys –

  • 8922 photos + videos were captured during this trip
  • I used Nikon D800, Sony RX100 iv, Dji Osmo and iPhone 5c
  • Over 350gb hard disk space were used
  • 18 Timelapse Clips were captured – a compilation will be shared later!
  • 70gb of HD video were captured

I am thinking about a Spring Season visit to this Island again, which will be in October – November month.

Will never get bored.

‘Til the next post!
