Mealt Falls, Isle of Skye, Scotland
I was lucky to be able to visit the Isle of Skye in February 2015 with the family thus it was not a fully “photo-tour” per se. We drove from Glasgow with the intention of enjoying the view. 8 hours later, we arrived at the town of Staffin and stayed one night at this nice place.
We left the town early morning the very next day. The weather wasn’t that great – rain, wind, and hail – hence the missing of Sunset at this place. We had a long way back to Glasgow so we headed out as soon as we can.
This magnificent waterfall is about 5 minutes away from the place we’d spent the night before and became the first of many stops. It was super windy but managed to secure the tripod.
Mealt Falls was so named because it was fed by a freshwater lake called Loch Mealt. – Source
Would love to be back here to recapture this waterfall. I have more photos to share with you but I leave you with this awe-inspiring-jaw-dropping Mealt Falls.
