Hello.
A continuation from the teaser.
They got married on the 30th May. The bride’s reception was on the 31st and the groom side was on the 3rd June. I had the opportunity to cover all three events and was assisted by Nazir on the first two and Hafiz Ali on the last one.

It was an emotional session as Zila’s mum cried.
The Bride’s Reception was held the very next day.

Zila is from Johor. According to Johor tradition, the Bride’s family will play a little game before allowing the Groom to enter the house to see the Bride. They will sit in groups acting like a toll booth demanding for the Groom’s entourage to pay before allowing them to pass through. It was quite fun! They will jokingly say that the amount is “not enough” and they “want more”.

We had a mini outdoor session after the reception. It was about to rain so we had to rush through the session.

The Groom’s reception was held few days later in Pahang.
After the reception, we went out and did some outdoor shots.

They are both very fun to work with! Thanks to Nazir & Hafiz Ali for assisting me during the three events.
Looking forward to spend a day with them for their post wedding portraiture. We are planning to go to Malacca. Hopefully before Ramadhan starts.
