Hello.
I was on the way to my printer’s shop when Roshan Thiran from Leadernomics was on the BFM 89.9 talking about what to look for in Talent Acquisition and Recruitment. It was nearing the end of the talk where Roshan mentioned about the Passion and the Willingness or Drive to Change as some of the positive attitudes an employer must look for when acquiring team members in his or her organisation. He mentioned that Passion only is not enough for a person to be successful at anything. The Willingness or Drive to Change too is a big factor in becoming a successful person.
I guess being successful in anything you do is a big goal for any Tom, Dick or Harry. But what are the requirements to be successful?
Let me start a list that I feel that I must have in order for me to be successful.

My opinion.
Most likely, I agree with what you’re saying Hafiz.
However, I don’t think the “selfishness” can bring you to the very top. Well, for temporary maybe but if we’re looking for the long run, give and take is one of the options in order to get connected as well as healthy competition, IMHO.
I also believe in hardworking. It’s like you’re doing mathematics. The more you practice, the better you be. Having said that, I must say we shouldn’t limit ourselves as we never know what we’ve got until we do it.
Last but not least, happiness is the key to everything. If we’re happy doing it, everything will come naturally as it reflects the attitude.
My key to performing a good dance is always inspiration. I can create many choreographies to many songs, but my best performances have always been the choreographies I created while I was inspired. I think inspiration draws the line between a good performance and a great performance.
I want to win! I want to win! I want to be photographed by Hafiz Ismail!
Here is my take…
- Passion & Persistence. Nothing is more important than having a goal and aiming for it.
- Aim High & Dream Big.
- Help others succeed. People don’t care what you know until they know how much you care.
- Inspire Inspiration. Keep sharing abt your passion and desire to people.. the more you share and talk about it.. the more passionate you will be… you know you are there when you inspire people to dream more,learn more, do more and be more…
- Dare to fail. Through failures, you learn to succeed. (i.e. Thomas Eva Edison)
- Expectation management – if you’ve reached your goals early in the year, set new ones!
- Be green.When you are green you grow…never stop being green…never stop learning…
- Habit! Make your goal to succeed a habit! Motivation gets you started, Habit keeps you going!
- Finally, success is a journey, not a destination. Take it one step at a time. Continue to press on…

Semua point yang Hafiz nyatakan tu banyak betulnya untuk menjamin kejayaan. Apa pun yang paling penting sekali ialah workhard! Ada orang cakap don’t work hard, work smart! But still tu semua tak dapat menjamin kejayaan terulung (paling berjaya antara orang-orang yang berjaya). It means that we need to work smart hardly. InsyaAllah, success will be following us.
Satu lagi, ialah inovasi. We need to be more creative to be in front of others. We need to take time to look back and learn something from it. Create something new from it.
And furthermore, we need to have the guts. Opportunity pun segan-segan nak menjengah orang yang coward. Be in the front row and takde segan-segan melayu.

1) Penting diri
-your point no 9 is quite true..aku pun percaya bende tu sbb when there’s no one else you can trust when you’re in deep trouble and alone, the only ‘person’ you can rely on is just your innerself buddy..the ‘YOU” inside..faktor ni penting sbb kite ada 2 part dlm diri kita kan..kalo failed to complement each other, jiwa kacau beb..cane nak success..this reminds me to “Yes Man” movie…
2) Willing to Share
-ramai org nak berjaya kene blaja, willing to change, peers factors and bla bla bla…tp xramai yang willing to share knowledge , experience with others..pada aku kalo ramai yang ada semangat ni, the world will be a better place to live…hehehe.

Here’s my take on what you need to be successful:
1) Create goals and timeline for you to achieve them, when you do achieve them, reward yourself.
2) Always do something unique or different, it may seem crazy but you will surprise yourself!
3) Do Charity, its not always about receiving, sometimes you have to give as well.
4) Be vulnerable – I believe that when you share knowledge, others are more open and willing to share ideas with you as well. Even though you may be giving out secret tips but at the end of the day the execution is more important.
