Hello
I attended the From Ordinary to Extraordinary Workshop with Louis Pang over the weekend. I went there with clear objectives – to learn and to be inspired with the art of photography as well as the holistic view of the business side of photography.
And of course, how to break the international market the Louis Pang way.
Over the three days, we learnt the way to see things extraordinarily. We were taught and inspired by the 7 Extraordinary Principles that a photographer must have. We got to apply and test our skills with models and with a real life situation. (One of the session was about getting a great photo with a limited given time – and in this case 3 minutes!) We were also taught the aesthetic part of the business – the attitude, the mentality and the love – in becoming a great photographer.

Marilyn and Blue Wall – 3 minutes of setup – a video light and a tungsten WB. Enhanced in PS.
And most important and a fun thing of all was we made new friends and associates.
I personally was deep in limbo couple of weeks before the workshop. I was kind of regretting a decision I had made about six month ago. I was tired. I was unproductive. I was the photographer, the janitor, the admin, the secretary, the sales manager and i was jack of all trades and master of none.

Angel from the sky – I had Vanessa the bride walking on the bar top while Darren looking up like an angel coming down from the sky.
I know that my work is good, creative, different and has that World Class edge. But I only believe in it half heartedly. I was badly in need of guidance to direct me back to the right path. I was demotivated in some sense.
The three day workshop was the best time I had in along while. I was recharged all the time. I had goosebumps when I imagined all the possibilities if I take actions. And most important outcome out of it all was the believe Louis had in me with my work!

RockyChic Bride – Marilyn in front of large illuminated window. I love the tattoo on her back, so i asked her to pose the tattoo for me.
What do you when an international award winning Wedding & Portrait Photographer commented positively on your work and had a genuine believe that you should go international and be successful at it?
I was emotionally excited!
I truly believe that I can go very far. I believe that I will make a difference in the local and international wedding & portrait photography scene. I believe that my work is different, fresh and of a high quality of standard. I believe that I have the necessary skills and experience to break the international market.

The participants – we will fly together! Photo Credits to Louis Pang
I believe that I 2009, I will become an award winning international creative lifestyle wedding and portraiture photographer for hip and fabulous people!
Ameen!
