Butterfingers Showcase at Istana Budaya

I decided to take the weekend off and attended the Butterfingers’ Istana Budaya Showcase; all four of them.

I’ve been listening and a fan to them since 1997 after a friend gave a copy of their first album for me to listen to. “A Malay Kurt Cobain” they call Emmet Roslan back then.

Attended Multimedia University and had the opportunity to sit next to Emmet during our Maths mid term test and, of course, we copied each other.

At the very beginning of my photography years, had the opportunity to photograph their gigs and concerts. And for the last year, I’d been absent from attending their Kembali Showcase. So, it was fitting to attend their Istana Budaya showcase since it will be their last show as a complete group for years to come.

2 Acoustic and 2 Full Blown electric sets later, it was a well spent weekend. I needed a break from work and I got that during the weekend. Meet the band and they were wondering where I had been the last a year and a half.

Luckily they remembered me!
